Asheville definitely knows how to make its presence felt in the middle of the Great Smoky Mountain and Blue Ridge Mountain in North Carolina, and for that it is able to earn various names, such as “Paris of the South” and “Land of the Sky”. Many travel guides consider this place a great tourist destination and if you want to know more about it, here are some of its great attractions.
Places to See
Asheville Pinball Museum – In this place, you do not only get the chance to play your favorite pinball game, but also play them on vintage machines. While enjoying your game you also get the chance to be educated on how pinball machines evolved in their designs. The best part is the fee for the place is cheap, only $10 and you can play all you want.
Altamont Theater – If you are a music lover and if you prefer enjoying your brand of music in an intimate setting then this place is for you. No seat is a bad seat in this theater. Not only that, they serve great drinks too, the best match for the best musical experience.
Biltmore Estate – This French Renaissance Chateau took six years to be built, owing mainly to its size with its 250 rooms. Owned by the Vanderbilt family, this estate does not only feature the main home. It also has a vineyard and a village where you can shop and engage in other activities.
Things to Do
Zipline Adventure – If you are up for some adrenaline rush, then by all mean get yourself properly harnessed and get on one of the 10 ziplines at Asheville Zipline Canopy Adventures. They range in height and length, so you can easily pick one that you can handle.
