With its temperate climate, Baltimore is a nice place to visit any time of the year, and while you are there try to visit the following attractions to complete your stay.
Places to See
The Walters Art Museum – This museum has a little of everything. It does not just feature fine pieces of art but historical artifacts, documents, and religious relics as well. There are also different collections that will fascinate even non-collectors. It is a great place to lounge around and talk with a friend while learning from the many exhibits.
American Visionary Art Museum – Be surprised by the unique exhibits here. This museum features creative objects done by self-taught artists, some of whom are people with disabilities. You will find quirky pieces of art made from materials that you have never imagined to be used. It is a nice place to visit if you want to veer away from conventional art.
Historic Ships, Baltimore Harbor – You can find here several WWII warships that played a big role in that moment of history. Get the chance to tour their interiors with a guide telling you its history in rich detail. The experience is like a travel back in time.
Things to Do
Pedal with Friends – The Charm City Pedal Mill offers a bike that needs 16 persons to run. It will bring you to a tour around downtown Baltimore with a stop in a pub. It is a great activity for people who are traveling in groups even if your count is less than 16. Just be prepared to pedal some more.
Enjoy a Waterfront Art Exhibit – Every first Friday of the month, Fell’s Point hold an art exhibit featuring works by local artists. This is a fun way to meet these artists while enjoying delicious food and great drinks.
Catch a Baseball Game – For baseball fans, try checking out the games at Oriole Park. You might just be able to see a major league game in this new stadium at Baltimore.
